TH350 Conversion Ques.

I have An A4 will i need a new flexplate with the TH350. What type of Torque converter do I get. Does the TH350 housing bolt up to the LT1 block or do i have to put the LT1 housing on it.

Re: TH350 Conversion Ques.

You dont need a new flexplate. The tranny will bolt up to the motor too. You'll have to modify your crossmember or buy an aftermarket one. You'll need the long tail shaft th350 if you want to keep the factory driveshaft. You'll need the lokar flexible dipstick. You'll have to buy a converter made for the th350. Mine is dual bolt pattern so it works with new and old flexplates. If you have the ability to weld, I would modify your crossmember. This will save you money and is very easy to do. You have to move the mount 1 inch further ahead. This is a pretty easy conversion.

Re: TH350 Conversion Ques.

You dont need a manual valve body, but you'll need to run a vaccum line to the trans. I'm running a manual in mine because I dont have vaccum at wot because of the blower. You'll need to have the computer tuned. The car will run fine without tuning but will cause a check engine light.
