TCI Competition 3800 too big?

All I have is exhaust, lid, cai, stb, and sfc's. Do you think this stall will be too big? I dont drive the car everyday, but if need be, I want the car to be able to be a daily driver.

It will be a little loose but should work fine. I'm running a 4200 stall with a 3.0 str in my daily driver. My son's girlfriend's daily driver is a 99 Camaro with a 3800 stall with a 2.5 str.

this is a 2.6, though i am going to have the trango shift kit installed at the same time, so maybe that will help!?

The shift kit will just firm up your shifts, it won't affect the convertor. After you drive it for a week or so you'll love it. The performance increase is unbelievable. You'll see about a .5 decrease in your quater mile times or more.

i'm running pretty much stock tires on the car. Will installing LCA's after installing the converter help from spinning the tires? People keep telling me that once I install the converter, my tires will spin like crazy when i get on it.

Your tires will most certainly spin alot more easily. That's when you learn that flooring the pedal isn't always the fastest way to launch a vehicle. It's called driving skill. Everytime you add horsepower you make your tires spin easier off the line but we keep adding horsepower don't we? Half or three quarter throttle for the first twenty foot or so will be alot faster than just nailing it on street tires.
