anyone have any experience with this?? the sunshell on my 4l60e is gone before I rebuild, is it worth the 2k???

 

I had mine rebuilt locally with upgrades and a shift kit for 750.
I put a TCI converter in it and its been great so far, got about 4000 miles on it.
I would check around your hometown or someone local that is good at building these trannies and I think you could get it done cheaper.

 

I'm in the same boat as you. My tranny is fried and I need a new one and there are about 6 different builders specific to the 4L60E on the net + whatever there is around us. I made a post but so far no replies.

If you find someone around here, let me know.

 

I rebuilt it myself all the parts cost me 130 Bucks, I figured it's worth a shot
