T56 synchros maybe going out ?

Hi guys, i searched but i want to make sure i'm correct in my assumption. I just rebuilt the motor as a fresh cammed 355 LT4 (96Z28), and resurfaced the flywheel and replaced the clutch and pressure plate. I noticed this since i've owned the car and just assumed it to be normal for T56s. The shifter is hard to get in gear when revs are higher than 4,000 rpms, like it takes a split second to get into the next gear and the tranny sounds like it makes noise like its got a dog box once its in gear, and sounds ridiculously loud at redline. I am going to replace the fluid in spring, but want to see if its something else. Shifter is the B&M. It never pops out of gear, and shifts fine and quiet at low rpms. What gives???
