What mods need to be done to the trans to go into a different car entirely? I mean without using any of the electrical, will the skip shift always be on? Anything else electronic I haven't thought of? Thanks

Trans is from a '94 z28

What about reverse lockout, will it work if there is no harness hooked to it?

Sort of. No the solenoid doesn't retract, but the lockout is spring loaded and you can override it with a little bit of effort. I've been running without it plugged in for a while, and it's quite manageable, it's stiff enough you won't accidentally hit R. If you want, you can add a trigger on the shifter, or wire it in to the brake light switch so that it disengages whenever you press on the pedal.
