Can anybody give me any info on transmission fluid for my t56. I was told to use amsoil sycromesh or something comprable. Any thoughts?

 

Search "transmission fluid", something i'm sure will come up, but im pretty sure you have to use automatic transmission fluid (ATF) and i think its called something like dexron 3?? correct me if im wrong guys, but anyways a search field will work too.

 

Yes ATF fluid, Dexron 3. I use mobile 1 sys.

 

Mine has a sticker on the driver side of the transmission. It says use Dexron 3 ATF. I can't remember how many quarts I used, but my Hanes manual says use 4 quarts. If anything buy a extra quart or two and take back what you dont use.

 

Do not use syncromesh. It is made for manual trans, but ours are made to use regular ATF. I use Amsoil ATF.
