Synthetic...

Is running synthetic tranny fluid similar to running it in the engine? I have heard that you have to run sythetic from then on out if you start to use it cause it could ruin the seals in both the tranny and the engine. Is there any truth to this?

thanks

Re: Synthetic...

not true on engines...at least not in this age. tranny's possible, but not probable. do not use synthetics on t-56s though...they have a tendancy to leak like crazy.

Re: Synthetic...

I have ~1500 miles on mine since Redline synthetic, silky smooth shifts and not one drop leaked. The tranny itself has ~100k on it.
