Super t-10
Super t-10
Hello -
I have a super t-10 with a 2.64 1st gear. Can anyone tell of the highest gear ratio I can use in the rear. Not interested in doing burnouts or anything but need to make sure it gets off the line without hurting the clutch. I would appreciate any input you folks have. Thanks, FB

I am thinking you are referring to numerically lower gears for gas mileage, since you say you don't want to hurt the clutch (having to slip it to get going)? What car is this and how much weight? How much power/torque are you making? (a wild guess from your screen name might be a Firebired 400?) Something in the 3.08 range might be a good compromise.
