Strong 4L60E
Hey, I have a H/C Camaro Z28 (2001) that dynos at ~450rwhp. It has a fresh pretty much stock transmission (PI3600 stall, tranny cooler and shift kit) and after about a days worth of driving, the transmission pretty much has no gears left
I've been comparing my options...
FLP Stage 5
Dr. Evil Stage III (Max Evil)
does anyone else know any other companies out there? How strong should the tranny be? I want to stay with 4L60/65-E transmission. Would a quality rebuild be a good idea? In my caprice I had a local shop build my 4L60E and it lasted for awhile through many cammed/nitroused 12 sec passes in that heavy car, plus 20,000 miles of street abuse before I sold it. (still works fine). I don't know what they did to it exactly though.
So I am just looking for some suggesstions, any board fav's for builders or what not? I kinda hate to throw 3 grand into a brand new tranny already.
