Street Twin chattering.

I installed a street twin clutch, and it has about 100 miles on it and its still chattering really bad when I let it out starting off. The only way it doesn;t is if I rev it up alot and let the clutch out really slow which is wearing it out. I bought this clutch because I heard it was good on the street and almost felt like a stock clutch letting out. Does the chattering ever go away? I also heard that they chatter when they break in, but how long does it take? How does every one else's feel?

Re: Street Twin chattering.

My street twin did the exact thing when it was first installed too. It took about 2 or 3 thousand miles before the chattering was mostly gone and now it acts just like the stock clutch. It still chatters a little if I dont rev it up a little bit and slip it out.

I did do a search when It was chattering really bad and I found that the same thing has happened to a number of other people too. Just make sure you break it in properly for the first 500 miles.

my chattering went away after about 300 miles, just keep driving it with pretty good takeoffs, just no hole shots
