Strange s60 or moser 12 bolt??????

Anyone have any suggestions on which would be better a strange s60 or moser 12 bolt, i am looking to replace the factory 10 bolt(weak) and probably put in a chrome moly drive shaft and a new ctwin disk clutch while i am at it, any advice on what to get on any of these would be helpful.

Why not a Strange 12-bolt?

We have a "Drivetrain" forum, where this subject is frequently discussed. I'll move your post there.

You also might want to provide some specific info about the car you are going to put this in - year, model, engine, tranny and any major mods. The "Signature" field is useful for this purpose.

I say get the s60 and never worry about the rear end again.

first of all i like your style, but everyone i talk to says the 12 bolt will do, bu i just dont want to ever have to worry about it, no matter what i do to the car. what are the major diferences between the two.

Strange 12-bolt, 4.11's, and putting 800HP through it with no problems. Lighter weight than the S60, but lower mechanical efficiency than the S60 (more rwHP loss).

sounds good thanks for the info, i think i am definatley going with the s-60 and 4.10's but one more quick question......does the gas mileage suffer at all with 4.10's as opposed to stock.

Yes. It will be worse than stock. You're going to be spinning the engine at higher rpms on the highway therefore using more gas. I just got an S60 a couple months ago and love it. I have some vibration issues I still need to deal with but I think that has to do with using the stock torque arm with it.

With the M6, 4.10's make it easier to slip it into 6th gear at lower MPH.... shouldn't have all that much affect on the fuel mileage.
