Stock Torque Converter?

How can I tell if my car has a stock torque converter without taking things apart? I just recently found out I have 3.73 gears, I'm wondering if maybe the converter was upgraded too? The dealer where I purchased the car doesn't know. He didn't know about the gears either. I determined the gear ratio based on my speed and rpms at several points in different gears.
