Stock Flywheel Question

I am building an LT1 383 and I am going to replace my clutch. The clutch, pp and flywheel I have now is new with almost 800 miles on it. I was hoping to use my current flywheel but I don't know when you should go to a billet one. What is the limitations of a stock gm flywheel? If the stock flywheel is adequate I plan to use a clutchnet disc and pressure plate. Thanks.

Re: Stock Flywheel Question

Spec stage 4, but only because I had a smoking deal on it at the time. It sucks on the street- engages REALLY fast, and hard to get smooth launches on the street.

If I did it again I would just their 3+ kit. Rated to same power level but much smoother.
