ST3500 torque converter for my lt1?

I have an oppurtunity(sp?) to get this t/c for my lt1 for $400. My mods are in my sig. I daily drive the car; it sees 70% highway, 30% city everyday. I have the stock 2.73's. How would this affect my gas mileage, drivability, and will i get a good gain from this with my mods?

Thanks

Sig didnt update..
