Speedometer/Tripometer issue...Help?!?!

Okay, reinstalled my T-56 and hooked up harness. Havent installed the driveshaft yet. My car is still on jackstands. I started my car for the first time after motor rebuild and noticed my speedometer and tripometer are moving? Since I first started my car, I have put 5 miles on the tripometer and noticed my speedo moving from 0-5 mph. When I press the clutch pedal in it stops, but when I release it they start reading again?!?! Do I have something hooked up incorrectly? Its kinda wierd and funny at the same time.

Thanks,

Eric

Seems normal to me. With the engine running and no driveshaft there is probably enough drag, even with the trans in neutral, to turn the output shaft.

Well, then I guess I'll reinstall the driveshaft tomorrow and see what happens. Just seemed wierd. Thanks rngilliland!
