Re: spec steel flywheel?

I just sold the stocker, so I don't know how much it weighs, but I think the package the spec flywheel came in said it was 22 lbs. I think. It said it on the ups sticker.
I can weigh it tomorrow to double check.

Re: spec steel flywheel?

while we're on the topic, how much of a difference does a lighter flywheel make, say, 22 vs 30 lbs?

I'll be using a built 4L60E with my LT1 soon..

Re: spec steel flywheel?

weighed the spec today, and it weighed in at about 25 lbs.

Chomp, why do you need a flywheel if you are using the 4l60E?

However, there is a difference although it will be under a 5 rwhp gain.
I think it has to do with less rotational mass, which means less work to turn the crank at the same speed.
