Spec Clutches, are they any good?

well i keep seeing spec clutches showing up everywhere and they seem to have a pretty good price on them for a stage 4 which is pretty much in my power range, im just curious if they are really worth buying or just a waste of my money and i should go ahead and buy the center force dual friction clutch. im hunting around and trying to find a TKO600 so i'll be able to beat on it and it will take it.

Ive been using one for about 40k miles now awsome clutch. Do a little reaserch on them they provide clutches for alot of high end race teams.

Btw they suggest only up to stage 3 for street apps

If you do a search you will find out most people do not like spec including myself.

No firsthand experience here, but I've heard that the McLeod Street Twin is the way to go.

Mind you this is in the VR6 not on a lt1 but....

Ive launched the car too many times to count, Ive slipped the clutch alot trying to come off the line as hard as possible on street tires. Ive driven the car almost 40k miles as a dd with no problems from it. STILL grabs 1/2" off the floor with no chattering.

Just as a mental pic too FWD, LSD, 3.94 gears, 225 tires, ALOT of wheel hop while slipping the clutch. No problems yet knock on wood

My SPEC 3 has worked okay, it grabs and is very streetable. Sometiems it's hard to get it into gear from neutral though, not sure if it's the clutch or something else.
