Unhappy Spec billet flywheel

I emailed spec about their billet flywheel and whether it was balanced.. They emailed back and said it was bolt-on and matched to the factory "standard" weight and that the weight can be removed for zero balance or left on for external balance.. Sounded good so I ordered it..

Sure enough it had the weight, so put it in with a stage 2 and rebuilt 93 t56 and surprise, cars shakes like a washing machine now..

Should of known better than to go with the warm fuzzy the tech rep gave me but thought I would just pass on the lesson learned.. It is coming out to get match balanced with my old flywheel next week..

Re: Spec billet flywheel

That's strange. My billet FW had the weight on it, and I never had a problem. But hey, things happen good luck with it.
