Basically what it says. Did a couple burnouts and now I'm a little worried if I caused damage. Any input?

You'll just use up the rear pads a little faster. No big deal!

I don't think its any harder on them than say a panic stop from 70mph-0. If anything that is probably much harder than just spinning the wheels while lightly applying the brakes. I'm not saying it's good for the back brakes but it's not that bad. What it is probably hardest on is the drivetrain, mainly the trans, driveshaft u-joints and the rear.

About the worst thing that you could do besides wasting your rear pads is heat the rotors up enough to warp them. Mine are actually thin enough now that they warp a little in everyday use. A good burnout now and again smooths them out. Beats payin Car Quest $7 a peice to machine them.

Doesn't holding it for too long cause a lot of pressure and heat build up in the brake lines? Can't that destroy your brakes?

I have only bought 2 full sets of brake pads. One when i had my 3rd gen and the second when i bought my hawk. Its been since 96 that i have been doing this. I have to say its the best feeling in the world to not have to pay money when something needs replacing on my car.lol
Peace
Omar

I used to press the brake while doig a burnout, but now I have a line lock. Once, I was like 200 miles from home, where I did a burnout, and I it ate up my rear pads. On the long drive home the tabs ate up my rear discs.
So, now, I'm doing it with a line lock only. It's not that expensive, a lot more comfortable, and more effective!
