slp converters

i was wondering if anyone has had any luck/bad experiences with a slp 2800 stall converter (part #6010) i know that yank and vig are good ones, but for the price of around 400 it looks more appealing. and if anyone has one, what kind of performance difference, if any, did you notice? i want to make sure this is a decent one before if go out and buy it. thanks...

Can't say anything bad about SLP, BUT with converters you get what you pay for....Got almost 8 years on my Vigilante, with no problems...best $700 I ever spent...got a solid 5 tenths, too!!

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't the SLP convertors made by Yank? I had the SLP 2800 stall and it was a fine piece, especially for the money. They also shipped it very quickly, much faster than the quoted estimate of 3-5 weeks. If you do a search on the board, you'll find that there's some debate over the SLP convertors and their overall performance value. My experience. from the initial order to the performance gain, was completely satisfactory. If you don't want to spend the money for the Vigilante, I would say go with the SLP.
