SLP clutch questions

First off, is this an upgrade from the stock Z28 disk? I called to order one from SLP and they said they were out of stock and that I should call a dealer to see if they have one in stock. Was it stock for the SS/WS6 cars maybe? Which brings me to my next question, does anyone have one of these in stock right now? So far I haven't been able to find anywhere that does.

The damper springs just broke in my McLeod and I'm only putting out about 350ftlbs so I think a near stock clutch would work ok. I'm running an LT4 PP.

Re: SLP clutch questions

I believe the disk itself is still a stock style, where the pressure plate is the upgraded part. You should be able to run to the local parts store and grab a disk for a 96 grand sport corvette and it will fit right in

Re: SLP clutch questions

Unfortunately, the parts stores around here only sell the clutch set, I can't get just the disk. Does anyone know the GM part number for the SS/WS6/LT4 disk? Is the ZF6 disk the same as T56? I know the pressure plates interchange but I don't know if it's the same splines or not.

Re: SLP clutch questions

Just called a dealer and asked for just the disk for a '96GS... he said it's $275 lol. www.gmpartsdirect.com has it for $150. The part number he gave me is 10174491. What a ripoff.
