skip shift

I finished a4 to m6 a few weeks ago and never hooked it up so SES light was on. after a week of driving put in a 2.2k resistor and the light went out but had the car scanned to check for other codes and it still shows the skip shift code. Is this normal, does it take a few cycles to clear or what?

The code is stored.. some scanners have the option to reset the codes. Pulling power to the PCM for a few minutes will reset it.

Scan it and see. The history should have been cleared, so it shouldn't show up.
