Should I get 10 bolt girdle cover?

I am on the fence here, I dont go to the track but I do tend to mash the fun pedal and dump the clutch from time to time.

I have 4.10's and street tires and never intend to put of drags.

Would this be a waste of $150.00.
Thanks

THe stud girdle is a great piece of insurance. Richmond gear engineers once told me that it would essentially double the life of your gear.

Yes, I spent two hours on the phone with Richmond gear back in the spring of 1999 doing the research. As far as I know, I was one of the first third-gen owners to ever swap in the heavy-duty Torsen into an early axle housing. I started my research in 1992, and did a bunch more in 1997, finally accomplished it in 1999. It has lasted six years through lots of different types of automotive events. I'm just now upgrading to a 12-bolt but it's because next year I want to clutch dump on race tires then hit the minirammed motor with up to 150 HP of nitrous. I wonder what the shock load of 550 RWHP will be?? ...probably more than the 10-bolt could handle !

Roger that.

My 10-bolt (before it was swapped with a 9") withstood dozens of mid-1.6 60s with a MAC rearend girdle.

I think the summit racing cover looks the most robust, I will get that one then.
