Shifting issues......

Well the other day my car started acting up. It was hard to pull and push into gear. It finally got to the point where it wouldnt go in at all. Its at my buddies shop now and weve replaced the master/slave cylinder because there was an external leak. Well that still didnt fix the problem. My buddy says its the clutch fork and pivot that is worn down causing it not to shift. Has anyone ever heard of this?

Re: Shifting issues......

I have trouble shifting into reverse sometimes, but I find that if I engage the car into another gear first then shift into reverse it seems to work ok. I don't know what it could be either though. My clutch was replaced 6000 miles ago and the shop checked everything out and said it was all ok.

My car WILL NOT go into gear at all. Even with brute force. lol Hes set on it being the clutch fork being worn and not getting the full range of motion.

Re: Shifting issues......

Check the circular plastic piece (sorry can't think of what its called) that the shifter sits in. I have the hurst shifter too, and the instructions say to check that for wear and replace if necessary.
