Shift kit vs. increasing firmness through prgrammers (e.g. Hypertech, Superchips)

Hi,

As far as improving transmission durability, is increasing shift firmness electronically through the use of a power programmer (like Hypertech) just as effective as installing a shift kit?

I'm just wondering cuz I need a tranny build and I'm wondering if I should worry about installing a shift kit.

Thanks,
Rob

If you use the "modified" Trans-Go Performance Shift kit, you can have smooth part throttle shifts, and the shifts getting firmer with more throttle. And the Trans-Go Shift kit can be tailored to fit your particular application, whatever torque converter you are using, rear end gear ratio, etc. The durability can be improved across the board. The electronics tend to firm up part throttle shifts and not much more.

you can have the control of it with the jet performance kit and electronic control unit, i have it and like it, you have stock, and 3 stages to choose from.
the electronic control unit it's inside your car and you can change it every time you want
