Are Richmond gears stronger?

Are Richmond gears stronger?

I noticed on several sites Richmonds tend to be the most expensive of the gears. They are more expensive than GM gears too. (ls1speed.com)

At the same time, they all whine like crazy. Is the whining justified by more strength compared to other gear sets?
