Reverse problem

Lately I've been having a little problem with reverse. It seems I gotta push the shifter kinda hard to get it in gear normally, and sometimes when it should be in reverse, I'll start to backup, and the car's still in neutral, and I push in the clutch and go to pull it out of reverse, and it'll grind a bit, then I'll put it back and it'll go into gear.

Please tell me this isn't a big problem... I'm too broke right now.

Re: Reverse problem

Got the same deal, BE sure you place it in a forward gear first, 1st or 3rd, then REV. On a decline can be a b**ch sometimes though. Oh yea, I need a new clutch, that may be our problem?, someone will chime in on that.

P.S. where in Spring are u @?, I am lived on Rayford/Sawdust

Re: Reverse problem

Hmm, just out of curiosity, why do you need to place it in 1/3 before sticking it in reverse? Last night when it happened I had my car parked in a real big decline. Not the clutch though, it's got a spec stage 2 clutch that's only a few months old.

I lived with my parents right across I-45 from Spring high school, and also had an apartment in the front of the Woodlands right off Sawdust actually. Two weeks ago though I moved up to Waco to go to college.
