reverse lockout solenoid removal

i need to replace/check my reverse lockout solenoid on my 97 Z, can i just pull out the center console and remove it from there or is it only possible to take out from below the car? Thanks in advance,

Doubt you can get to it from the interior; there's only a small hole for the shifter/linkage.

Looks like it take a fairly large wrench, and its a question whether you could get any "swing" on it through the hole in the floor:
