Replacing spider gears in Torsen unit

My spider gears got chewed up in my '95 camaro last night. I have a 3.73 gears in it now and I still have the 2 series carrier from when I replaced the 2.73's. How tough would it be to swap the spider gears? Is it as simple as just taking the 4 bolts out the back of the carrier and sliding the back half out or does it require special tools?

I did a search on the subject and couldnt find any information on torsen spider gear replacement.

My other option is to get a ring gear spacer and use the whole carrier, but I dont know if I'd be comfortable cutting 1.60 60' times with that kind of a setup.

No one has ever attempted to take a torsen unit apart?

I got the rear end back together with another 3 series carrier. Now I just want to pull the spider gears out of the old carrier since I save all my broken parts. I got the back part of the carrier off, I just can't get the spider gears to slide out. Is there a trick to gettin these out or what?
