Redoing entire interior of a 96' V6 auto trans, but I'm not exactly in love with the OE shifter - at all. Because it has the button, it's a pain in the **** to replace, is there a way to replace the button shifter with a regular shifter, sans-button?
I prefer the look of a shifter without the button, but I'm relatively certain there's nothing I can do.

Any suggestions are appreciated, even if there is a decent looking button shifter out there.
