Removing axels
Removing axels
Ok I got the diff cover off, so hoe do I remove the axels. Tried searching but could'nt find a step by step answer. I know use the search button but hey this is a meeage board not a search board. Thanks in advance......
Push the wheel in, then in the center of the carrier the axle will protrude maybe 1/2" there will be a C-clip you simply have to pull off and then the axles will come right out. (there is a c-clip on each axle)
ummmm no it has a 8 mil headed bolt that holds the alignment pin in pull the bolt out and then lightly tap the pin it will come out once the pin is out push the wheel in and use a magnet and a small pick to remove c clip install is reverse
If your going to answer questions be as thorough as possible. The guy could be out there beating on the carrier with a sledge destroying his rear end because you neglected to tell him about that bolt.

Cool it man.
If you have to sit there and explain every last detail on how to do anything on here, no one would post answers anymore and all we would have is people asking questions no one wants to answer. Like i said, if you don't have the know-how to notice the VERY simple things, you should not be taking that stuff apart. They are going to put it back together wrong, forget to tighen a bolt and kill themselves when it comes apart going 60MPH down the road.
Thanks for the help guy's, did'nt mean to stir anything up. I was alright once I turned the carrier. I did notice the 8mm bolt. I had it apart and put together with ne studs while you guy's were still going back and forth hehe. Thanks again........
