Rebuild or buy new?
Rebuild or buy a TCI trans?
My trans is shot, no reverse, first gear is so slugish an 89 grand am can almost take me, 2nd skips and I can't remember about 3rd and 4th,
I asked about getting my 700R4 rebuilt and the guy i'm gonna have fix my car up sends it out to a local trans shop and said its about $1000 + any problems that come up, looking at most at 1200.
From Summit or Jegs I can get a TCI Streefighter 700R4 for 1300 from summt, w/ lockup or 1500 from jegs, non lock up.
Whats this lock up? And would you guys go new?

Here's two board members that I'm considering.....
Read the website first, then contact them and ask questions.

Ok, my bad then, but the guy rebuilding mine is rebuilding it to stock, where as TCI says theres can handle up to 450hp. Would u consider it worht the extra cash?
