rearend making a whining sound

rearend making a whining sound

so i was driving home and all of a sudden i heard a loud whining sound from my rearend i was like 2 seconds away from my house...so i park and look and it looks like one of the bolts from my dif cover came out and the flud drained out... i refilled it with fluid and limited slip but it still whines is my rearend shot now? do i have to replace the gears or the gears and the posi... it really sux cuz i just bought a really expensive posi..

anyone got any input i dont wanna have the rear blow when im driving it would be just my luck... lol

Its very unlikely that you'll need to replace the posi, just the gears. Take the cover off and make sure you don't have chunks of metal in there. If everything looks fine, fill it up and order a new set of gears and take it easy in the meantime.
