rear u-joint question for Moser 12 bolt

I just got a Moser 12 bolt and need a shorter driveshaft for it, I had a Moser 9" and was using my 1le ds with that and a 1350 conversion u-joint. My question is what is the difference between a 1330 rear u-joint and a 1350? I am selling my 1le ds and getting a Denny's, I want to get on of his "heavy duty" driveshafts but it only lists them with up to a 1330 u-joint, not a 1350. Will a 1330 fit my Moser 12 bolt as well? May be a dumb question but I wasnt sure if they were the same size but the one was just stronger.

Don't know the answer to your question, but why are you changing the 9" out for a 12 bolt? I thought the 9" was much stronger.

Re: rear u-joint question for Moser 12 bolt

I have a moser 12 bolt and my drive shaft is the same length as a stock 10 bolt. I have herd of some people having to shorten their drive shaft but the "stock" length works fine on my car. as for the u joint I got mine from Napa and had a machine shop install it. It is 1330 where it connects to the drive shaft and 1350 where it connects to the rear.

Denny's heady-duty shaft? trust me, just go for the Nitrous ready, that way you'll never have to worry about anything again with the shaft. But in all reality, just call Denny up and talk to him about your application and everything; he knows what he's doing and can build you just about any sort of combo of driveshaft you could ever imagine. When I picked up my Nitrous Ready shaft we talked for like an hour and a half about cars and driveshafts and drivetrains.

I really didnt want to spend close to $400 for a driveshaft and I thought the heavy duty version sounded plenty strong for my needs. So I guess he can do the heavy duty with a 1350 rear u-joint if I want, it didnt sound like it on his site. I'll have to give him a call then and see.

As for the 9" question, I picked it up for a really good deal but it wasnt set up the way I wanted it. 35 spline axles and a detroit locker were a bit much for my needs. I traded someone straight up for their 12 bolt with a posi.

Thanks for the feedback guys.
