rear end yoke?

ok, tell me what you know. I have a 1977 camaro with a 10 bolt. My question is did chevy come out with 2 differant kind of yokes for the rear end. On my yoke the part where the u-joint sittes is smooth, there are no little tabs that stick out, and it had "c" clips holding it in. I can't find any thing about this on the internet so i thouht I would ask u guys.

there arew no snap rings. there were c-clips on the inside of the cups. they were not snap ring. as far as I can find the stock rear ends didn't have c- lips bit little tabs, but mine has c-clips. I want to know if any one else has one like that.
