Question rear end strength

I have 3.73's comming in and I will be modding my car a lot more this year. I want to strengthen my rear end because I am going to get nitto dr's and I don't want it to just break on me. Anyone have anything they have done to stregthen it up so it will run with around 300 rwhp (that's how much I plan on having this time next year) and not break. Thanks.

Your stock rearend should be able to handle 300 rwhp without a problem. Most importantly you want to make sure your gears are setup correctly. Also another thing to look for is excessive vibration in the driveshaft. If you encounter this problem I would recommend getting an LS1 or 1LE driveshaft. The vibration in your driveshaft will cause your pinion seal to go bad and your rearend will start leaking rear end fluid. Then you can kiss your rearend good bye. I honesty would not waste your money on a girdle.

It's gonna take a lot more then 300 rwhp and Drag Radials to break a 10 bolt behind an A4. You gotta remember the automatics are far more forgiving then the Manuals on the rear ends. I honestly don't see how you could bust a rear end with your setup unless you experience major wheel hop.

You should be fine. Good luck with your upcoming mods and timeslips.

Thanks guys, I have just heard so many horror stories I didn't want to put all of this money into my car and then the rear end break on me.
