Rear end rattle at upper RPM's

Hey, I have a new problem with my 3.23 stock rear end. Whenever I punch it and the motor revs up to 4.5K RPM to redline, there is this horrific sounding crunching/rattle/grinding sound at upper RPMs. It sounds find when I am tooling around town though. Weird.

Another question. My mods right now are an SLP ram air and lid, Magnaflow catback with a cutout. I might get long tube headers in the future, along with a higher stall Torque converter. If I end up having to get the rear end rebuilt, I'll stick with the 10 bolt. I don't think I'll be putting down enough power to justify $2000 on a new 12 bolt. If I just beef up the componets in the stock 10 bolt, it should hold together, right? Now what type of componets can I beef it up with? What type of axles? If I do rebuild, I'll get a higher gear ratio, so would a 3.73 be too much gear to cruise at 80 MPH?
