rear end question, as always
rear end question, as always
Is there any way to mod the 10 bolt to get to to handle a 430ish RWHP launch on DR's and an M6? Or will this always crap it out the back no matter how its built?

What size drag radials? If there not good enough to bite the car solid, then you can prolly make 15 passes to each new carrier. If you have tires that bite well, then I give 4 passes to each new carrier. Gears matter to. Before going to the 12-bolt I had most success with 3.73's holding the carrier together better than 4.10's or 4.56's. I dont see all the little extras for a 10 bolt worth the money.

No I dont see how it could be worth it either... I dunno I just thought it would be fun to build a very streetable/semi-drag 10 bolt but thats not possible lol
Re: rear end question, as always
I blew out 4 rear ends all on dr's all on the street, 3 when i only had bolt ons. The last one i blew was pretty much built as best you could, tubes were welded, girdle cover, hd zexel posi. I'd guess i was making about 350rwhp when that one blew. It seemed they all lasted about the same, 100-150 launches sidestepping between 3500-5000. I think if you run a softer clutch you'll have a better chance of them lasting longer and also lca relocations help to prevent wheel hop which kills them. Don't spend money building it, the most i would do is weld the tubes if you have a welder, anything other than that just put toward a 12bolt/9 inch, if it blows in the mean time you can find a replacement around for cheap.
