Cool rear end question

Hello. I was wondering whats the lowest, safest gear possible for the gm 10 bolt rear, without having to worry about screwing the rear end up. I was told that the 10 bolts are pretty weak and I was thinking of installing 3.90's or 3.73's. Don't camaro ss have 3.73 or 3.42? Would I be safer to jump from my stock 3.23 to a 3.42 and will I see a big difference? Let me know. I was told the higest I could install for a proper mesh would be the 3.42's, but I don't think so. Let me know if 3.73's would work.

Many people run 4.10s, or 3.73s. The biggest gear stock is 3.42s in a z rated M6.

If your going from 3.23's then you have an A4. You can go with 3.73's as far as breaking them it all depends some people have some luck and some dont. The stickier your tires most likely you will break something. I had a 01 SS 6speed with 4.10's installed broke them twice with nitto drag radials. I have 4.10's in my 93 Z with nitrous just street tires and its fine, but then again i dont get on it much.
