rear end query

I'm going to covert our V6 camaro into a V8 car and I'm assuming the rear-end won't handle the added torque. A Z or SS car comes with a 10 bolt correct? Help a Mustang guy make the right, cost effective decisions or i'll source a 9" for this project [and waste $]

they are the same. more than likely the v-6 just has an open diff tho no limited slip.

Thanks for the insight!! Our Fbody has close to 200k miles, so a complete rear-end rebuild is in order. I'll add a limited slip differential to my parts list. I want to keep our rear wheel torque levels around the 360-370 range to start so would you consider an oem limited slip, or "posi" as you GM guys call them a good unit to start with?

Look for an Eaton or Auburn posi unit. Both are good.
