rear end help??????
okay...so i decided to change my ring and pinion, because i blew 3 teeth off my last ring gear. i went with the precision gears 4.10 set in the stock 10 bolt. everything was going fine, until i started to put stuff back together. for some reason i cant line the holes up for the cross shaft or axle shaft. its like the spider gears locked up on me, and i cant move the thing to get the shaft threw. any ideas would be great, cuz i have no idea how to fix this

Re: rear end help??????
no that did not help, but thanks alot for trying
im looking to realign the shaft that goes through the spider gears....and i believe its suppost to keep the axles from sliding in. i think its called something liek the cross-shaft, i took that out...and when everything was ready to go back in...the holes to put it in were all messed up and i cant get the pin in anymore

Re: rear end help??????
Do you have the Zexel-Torsen carrier? If so, this kit (#64002) is needed for the 4.10's.

Re: rear end help??????
FYI: You have a zexel torsen posi. You have an SS customized by SLP. Also, in the picture that definitely is not an auburn.
Why not try and stick a small screw driver in that hole and line it back up again. Otherwise take the posi out again, and try to fix it out in the open.

Re: rear end help??????
A 410 ring has a larger tooth profile. A Zexel "square" section pin does not clear when engageing the carrier housing. SLP sells a split pin modification. Or, you can machine your own. I broke my 7 1/2. Pinion and Zexel diff case. Went with a Moser 12.
