Rear End Girdle

looking at the rear end girlde's and was wondering if it was just the back part of the pumpkin or does it cover it all around...i searched around and most people recommend it when installing gears on a stock 10 bolt, but im just wondering why they are soo expensive if its just the rear piece???

WHere do the middle studs bolt into?

how do they really hold the gears up better?

Re: Rear End Girdle

its a direct replacement for the stock rear end cover. I'd recomend getting one for the 10 bolt. helps give you a little reassurance for any unintended (or intended) hard launches. well, i'd buy the optional stud kit for the caps ikn the rear end. studs are stronger than bolts, u get the point. the bolts on the cover just sit against those studs or bolts (whichever one u end up having) and keep them from backing out or flexing out. lol, I'm not sure how to explain it, but it holds stuff in the same spot. the bolts the cover only tighten to 5 ft.lbs or so. i'm sure someone has a better explanation.

Re: Rear End Girdle

Keeps the case from flexing, thus keeping the gears still.

Understood! just seems soo expensive for a rear end cover.

Well at least thunder racing has a good deal on motive 4:10's,Girlde w/ studs, gear oil and gm posi additive, and a deluxe insatll kit with wheel bearings and seals for 430$ which isnt too bad in my mind
