rear end gearing help

Does anyone know an easy way to figure out what gears you are running without taking apart the rear end. If i jack it up and spin the drive shaft can i count shaft revolutions to tire revolutions. I would ask what rpms are at while driving but if you have different sized tires than me thats not gonna help. The guy i bouth the car from new very little about it. The speedo was right until i did the obd1 conversion and now it reads about 15 mph fast at 60. I think the guy i got the obd1 from said it was tuned for 4/11's if that helps any.
