No rear gear swap is easy and more so if its the first one.
You didn't give any info on what you have now to know if that Jegs kit will work or not. You need to know if your rear is a 2 or 3 series carrier to start with before seaching for parts.

Re: Rear end gear change....Experts Inside!!
Well, the best I can tell you it is a stock rear end of a 1991 Z, so I beleive it is a 2.73 gear ratio, and I want to go to 3.73 ring and pinion.
So, with the best internet knowledge, I need a 2-series carrier, yet I have found out that mine is a 7.625", where Jegs is a 7.5" kit, but GM blacklash is like .004 to .010., so a 7.5 is a 7.62.....right or wrong??
