Rear End Fluid

I'm going to change the fluid in my rear differential this weekend hopefully, i've heard that you should only use the GM fluid. What's the verdict here? I personally would rather use Mobil 1.

I have used Mobil 1 but its not recommended for stock differentials. Now I'm running Valvoline w/ GM limited slip additive.

I just changed mine today with Mobil 1 and the GM additive. The GM fluid is VERY expensive!

I got mine at the GM dealership. I am not sure if it can br bought anywhere else. I think it was like $7
