Rear end dilemma......

Im running into a dilemma here about what rear end to go with. Its between a 9 inch with Eatons HD posi, or a 12 bolt with the equivalent posi. The car is a 355 with an s-trim @ about 14 lbs of boost. Eventually, ill be going to a 383 and if I dont stay with the s-trim, ill go with a D-1 so I only wanna do a rear end once. But im hearing that 9 inchers arent too docile on the street and the car is only gona see the track every once in a while. I dont wanna go with a loud *** locker and I hear spools are rough on the street too. There are some running 800 rwhp (rskrause and such) with 12 bolts and say theyre just fine but some have blown them up launching hard with 450-500 rwhp. I wanna pick it up and install it myself by spring so ill have to decide sometime soon. Any suggestions?
