Rear end chunk questions.

I have a rear end from a 2000 Z28, it has a zexel carrier with 3:42 gears.

I need to know if I can change out the chunk out of my 97 Z28 (2:73 gear) and reluctor gear and replace it with the Zexel carrier with the reluctor gear from my 97 carrier.

Will there be any clearance issues resulting from installing the reluctor gear on the zexel unit and then the gearset?

I know I will need a new carrier install kit and such. I just need to know if it will install or if there are differences due to the reluctor gear to be installed on it.

I could just swap rear ends and a few other things to make it work but I can install gears, they are no real problem. I want to keep abs active due to emissions laws in my county.

Thanks for the input.

Aaron
