Rear differential packages

I'm looking to upgrade from my factory 10 bolt, it won't be able to hold my 440rwhp for too much longer. I'm looking at some of these packages and i don't see many options, am i stuck with only Moser? And is $2000+ pretty normal?

I assume you are looking for a full rear axle assembly, and not a kit of parts to upgrade the 10-bolt (which would be a waste of money).

Consider:
-Strange 12-bolt
-Moser 12-bolt
-Strange S60
-Various 9-inch

Any of those will easilly support 440 rwHP. I like the Strange 12-bolt because its the lightest; has reasonable mechanical losses (S60 has less, 9-inch has more); is fully assembled (Moser has "parts"); uses the stock "thru-bolt" torque arm attachment (Moser has 4 bolts into housing, which come loose - some TA manufacturers will not warranty their arms with the Moser); keeps the stock driveshaft geometry (9-inch offsets pinion shaft to one side, and .75" lower).

Typical prices are closer to $2,500. The S60 seems to be the cheapest. Only downside is the 25# extra weight.

So it looks like i'm going to go with the Strange 12 bolt, should i fork out the extra money to keep ABS? Will the car be ok without it? It's not a daily driver, more of a weekend occasional track car never driven in the rain. From what i've read so far it's not too much but quite a bit of work to keep ABS.

With the Strange, there is no extra work to keep 3-channel ABS. You just order the sensor with the rear, and they machine a reluctor gear into the Eaton posi carrier. Only an extra cost.

How well the Strange ABS sensor works is another issue. Mine didn't seem to last very long. Its adjustable, and it tends to be a bit difficult to keep set correctly. I haven't had ABS for several years, and don't miss it. But then the car doesn't get driven much any more.... just sits and collects dust.

Thanks Fred, i'll give the 3 channel a shot, if it doesn't work out then i guess it's goodbye ABS.
