Ratchet shifters

I have a 1995 Z28 and am looking for a ratchet shifter that will fit into the stock console. I have looked at B@M and Hurst shifters for Camaros and they only have the console models for the 2nd/3rd generations. Has anyone installed one and which make and model were used. any coments would be helpful.

thanks

I just installed a B&M pro ratchet shifter (A3 though). It fit very well in my opinion.

dont waste your time putting a shifter on an A4 if you shift it yourself your just going to blow it up, let the computer do what its made to do. now if your putting an aftermarket trans in there with a manual valve body thats a diffrent story, I have a B&M hammer in mine,

did you have to modify the console for it? I am also considering the same thing. Do you have more pics?

I did a lot of work to make it "right" I cut all the factory stuff out of there, the mounts and all, I welded the hole shut where the factory cable went through, made a new hole for the B&M shifter welded nuts on the underside of my floor so I can just unbolt the shifter if I have to take it out for service. I cut the leather down about an inch and resowed the leather to fit on to the hammer shifter better and make it look factory.
