are truck gears the same for z28s? do they fit? i have a chance to buy this cheap, GM10-373. but, i just dont know if they are for 7.5, just that they are 10 bolt.

 

GM Makes a 7.5 a 7 5/8th (but called a 7.5 they interchange) and a 8.5 10 bolt rearend.

The S-series trucks use both a 8.5 and 7.5 rear, all the 4cyl trucks use the 7.5, and most regular V-6 use the 7.5, but the late year s-blazers and all extreme and ZQ8 RPO code suspension packages use the 8.5.

All the Fullsize 2WD trucks with a 10 bolt have the 8.5

BTW if you have a 3 channel ABS, with out traction control, the ring gear has a reluctor ring on it so if it is a S-10 7.5 10 bolt it wont have this as the 3 channel S-10 uses the VSS for the 3rd channel...
